This is one of the most beautiful parts of the area. With a mountain passage, a lovely restaurant, and hiking trails, it is a wonderful place to spend at least a part of your vacation. It is surrounded by a crown of mountains, offering the possibility for different types of excursions, from peaceful walks in the woods all the way to the more demanding ones for trained trekkers ready for physical effort.
Standing at 3330m, Mont Fort is the highest point of the 4 Vallées area. It offers a breathtaking view of the Alps (the highest European pic, the Mont Blanc in Chamonix and the famous Matterhorn in Zermatt specifically) and also serves as a black ski run, the highest in this ski area. Mont Fort is surrounded by several glaciers, but it is easily accessible by cable car from the heights of Verbier or Nendaz.
Les Attelas is a 10-kilometer run which links Les Attelas with Verbier. This run is not too difficult, yet it is adored by skiers. You have the option to descend straight from it to Verbier or you can make a small detour via Les Ruinettes. If you’re a morning person and carving enthusiast, you can enjoy wide, immaculately prepared pistes all by yourself.
Savoleyres is the main ski area in La Tzoumaz and it is at 2,354m altitude. In 2008, a high-speed eight-person gondola was built and this completely transformed the resort. The area offers options for beginners, but intermediate skiers and snowboarders have a lot to look forward to as well.
This webcam Verbier is located on the ridge between the pistes to Ruinettes and the La Chaux ski area. It gives a great view of the runs from Les Atellas, the La Chaux pistes, as well as the weather on the summit of Mont Fort.
This area is best known for its Gentianes restaurant located at 2950m. It hosts a self-service restaurant, a bar area and a lounge on the 1st floor, providing the perfect balance between two great pleasures – skiing and good food. The sunny terrace is also available to skiers and pedestrians, offering an idyllic panorama.

Bruson has excellent transport connections to 4 Vallées. It is located across the valley from Verbier and it has a surprisingly idyllic setting in an area of Val de Bagnes. With more than 23km of pistes for both intermediate and seasoned skiers, Bruson is extremely popular with freeriders too, thanks to its fantastic forest skiing routes.
In Médran, you can visit a ski pass office which works 7 days a week during the winter season. You can get lift passes for Verbier and 4 Vallees ski area, piste maps, bus timetables, ski condition details and avalanche bulletins, as well as mountain/ski insurance.
This area was named after the word “tzoumer”, which means “to take a break”. It is at the same altitude as Verbier and it even nestles against the same mountain (Savoleyres). Unlike Verbier, however, it sits on north-facing slopes.
